Western National Parks Association ("WNPA," "we," "us," or "our") values your privacy. This comprehensive document outlines our privacy practices related to digital marketing, SMS/MMS messaging programs, website analytics, and transaction data integration.

1. Information We Collect
  • Full Name, Email Address, Phone Number, Mailing Address (if provided), Source of opt-in.
  • IP address, Browser type, OS, Pages visited, Click-through behavior, Pixel tracking.
  • Transactional and Behavioral Data: We associate your personal information with your purchase history—both online and in-store—including items purchased, purchase value, and transaction timestamps to better understand your preferences.

3. Consent to Marketing and Messaging

You expressly consent to promotional communications, tracking interactions, and personalized marketing. Consent is not required for purchase and may be withdrawn anytime.

We segment and target messages based on your behavior and purchase history. Opt-out available.

5. Email Marketing

Emails are sent only if you've opted in or engaged in a transaction. Every email contains an unsubscribe link. We never rent, sell, or trade email lists.

6. SMS/MMS Mobile Message Terms

By participating in our SMS/MMS messaging program ("Program"), you agree to these Terms:

  • User Opt-In: Opting in via online forms or other methods means consent to receive SMS/MMS messages. Not all messages use autodialers. Message/data rates apply. Upon opting in, you will receive a confirmation message explicitly confirming your participation.
  • User Opt-Out: Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe. After opting out, you may receive one confirmation message. Email or verbal opt-out requests are not valid.
  • Duty to Notify and Indemnify: If you change or cancel your phone number, you must opt out beforehand. Failure to do so may result in liability for messages sent subsequently. You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless for claims resulting from such failures.
  • Program Description: Messages include transactional alerts, promotional offers, event updates, and informational notifications.
  • Cost and Frequency: Recurring messages; frequency varies based on interaction.
  • Support: Text HELP to the originating number or email support@sc.wnp.org for assistance. Support requests receive responses within 24 hours during business days. Emailing does not opt you out.
  • MMS Disclosure: Non-MMS-compatible devices receive SMS instead.
  • Disclaimer of Warranty: The Program is "as-is". We're not liable for delivery delays or failures due to carrier or network issues.
  • Participant Requirements: A compatible personal wireless device on a participating carrier network is required.
  • Age Restrictions: Participants must be at least 13 years old. Participants aged 13-17 require parental consent.
  • Prohibited Content: Engaging with or transmitting unlawful, harassing, harmful, or discriminatory content is strictly prohibited.
Compliance, Recordkeeping, and Transparency: All SMS/MMS campaigns use numbers registered with The Campaign Registry (TCR) for compliance and carrier approval. We adhere strictly to CTIA guidelines and industry standards. Opt-in consent records, including source, timestamp, and method, are securely retained for compliance audits.

7. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not rent or sell personal information. We may share data with:

  • Service providers (analytics, email/SMS vendors, payment processors)
  • Legal authorities as required by law or court order
  • Successor entities in mergers, acquisitions, or business transfers
Your mobile number, purchase data, or personal information is never shared with unauthorized third parties without explicit consent.

8. Data Rights and Revocation

You have rights to access, delete, correct data, and opt-out of profiling.

9. Data Security

We employ physical, electronic, and administrative measures, including encryption, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems, to secure your data.

11. Dispute Resolution

Disputes related to this policy or Program will be resolved via binding individual arbitration through the American Arbitration Association (AAA) in Tucson, AZ. Class actions are not permitted. This provision survives termination.

We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated via our website or email. Continued participation after changes implies acceptance.
